Update 10/17/17: SRB reached out to me to find out what happened here. They seemed genuinely concerned. I am pretty sure my experience was not normal.
Awesome local brewery and restaurant. Nachos, chili and fries were fantastic. Had the Jenny Lake Lager is light and has the perfect malt balance. The Snake River pale is a great pale ale with a floral finish. The Dortmunder is a fabulous easy drinking euro lager.
Lovely brewery, great local ambiance, well worth the short walk. My only complaint was getting super excited for the "loaded potato soup" to find it was still tomato based, which upsets my belly. If only they would list all the ingredients on their specials... Sigh. But the beer was excellent, as well as the French onion soup and the brussel sprouts salad.
Experience #1 was great. We had good beer, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. Experience #2 was terrible. The beer was still good, but apparently there was a shift change in the kitchen and it took a long time to get our food. Then to add to the madness the food was not super. In the future if I come again it will be for beer only.
Service was not very good so I left a small tip. I'm a little confused about the whole tipping structure here. The bill was $24. I left a $2 tip. The waiter flagged me down on the way out, said i needed to pay a bit more. Something about how he needed to give the bartenders 10%. I asked "don't you guys work for the same place?". He proceeded to explain the situation using my wife as an example. Very confusing. Next question I asked, "Is this like a Wyoming thing?". He said for some reason a lot of people ask that. Gave him few extra dollars and left.
The beer is pretty good though...
This is a nice place. I went for the first time last year during their Oktoberfest and had a great time. Went there for a few drinks and really enjoyed myself. They had the game on and the fire was going. Good beer of course! The staff was helpful and nice. Will definitely return.
