I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. In summary: pathetic service followed by horrific food poisoning for my wife and I 6 hours after eating here. Here are the details...
Great food! Good prices. Only thing, was the "skinny" fries were alot smaller then expected. Practically paper thin, still good though
The real cherry on top was 6 hours after this fiasco, a wave of violent food poisoning hit my wife and I at the same time. Food tasted great going down, not so great coming back up. Thanks for the great anniversary, Liberty Burger... It was awesome to spend it on the floor of a hotel bathroom.
Their menu on their official website has a menu that even has the Jackson Hole address on it...but the actual prices in the restaurant are a good bit higher. I pointed it out and they wouldn't honor it. Burgers were fine, but not great. Milkshake tasted like syrup...between 4 of us we didn't finish 1 milkshake, threw it away.
This is such a lucky find! I was hiking all day and worked up some serious hunger. While I notice many people comment on the price, there is something you have to consider: Jackson is a year-round resort town. Based on that, their prices are excellent. The great news is that their food and service are also excellent! Perfect prep on a turkey mushroom burger, and I made the mistake of asking for dessert. They brought me a mini pecan pie that rocked my world. I also really enjoyed my margaritas. I can't wait to come back here during the ski season, because it is up there in terms of the best burger I've ever had!
Everything we got was fabulous. My daughter got the Liberty burger and loved it. She said she could eat another one. I got the Jacki-O (a Greek lamb burger) and it was great. The onion rings were way above average. The sweet potato fries had something special going on, the best I've ever had. And finally, we got a heath-bar shake it was the best shake I've ever had. Basically this place is everything the would-be-upscale Shake Shack wants to be but doesn't quite cut it. Shake Shack inevitably leaves me feeling ripped off and disappointed. Liberty Burger is great. My daughter, as were finishing up commented on how well put-together everything was, right down to our server bringing us a shake with 2 straws and 2 spoons without having to ask. Also I asked for a side of mayo for the onion rings, and a side of tzatziki for my burger and they were brought immediately without any drama. Only drawback is the place is a little spendy. $40 for two burgers, fries, onion rings, and a shake. But when the product is really good, I honestly don't mind.
My wife and I ate here for lunch while on an anniversary trip to Jackson. We were "greeted" by a waitress that was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. She rolled her eyes when we ordered an extra side of onion rings and then made a scene when we tried to cancel our order because they weren't out 15 minutes later and we were done eating. She then said "well they're already done" and brought them out (after another 10 minutes). This whole time, no one came by to fill up our waters. I had to go behind the counter and fill up our own waters multiple times while the waitress stood in the corner on her phone. This was bad enough that I ended up talking to the manager. In his defense, he was very nice and apologetic, but his excuse was "oh she's Polish and she's going back home in 2 days."
Avoid this place at all costs.
