Greeted by some arrogant douche bag when we arrived. Took 30 min to get a drink order in. Overheard from another waiter that many items were out (7pm-ish) food way overpriced ($75 for a rib eye), limited items to order, especially for a steak house. Paid for my wine and left the pretentious place. Got a great steak at the Gun Barrel for a fraction of their prices with better service. Tourist trap with outrageous prices.
I haven't been here in years, but the other day - a client of mine suggested going here for dinner. I was sad the buffalo ribs I had loved years ago were no longer on the menu, but we decided to split a buffalo rib eye instead. We also ordered the rattlesnake popper appetizer and lobster mac & cheese. All of the food was very delicious, but very expensive.
Some things I thought were strange... the waitress told us there was only 1 order left of the rattlesnake app and it was only 6:30 PM. The lobster mac came in a tiny bowl. Also, the red wine pours were very small compared to other restaurants, especially for the large glasses they served the wine in. If you want wine here, definitely purchase a bottle as it's a better value.
Another situation where Google reviews are not accurate. This is a specialty steakhouse with rare and unusual cuts of meat and some standard cuts. I got the wagyu skirt steak and it was unbelievable. Easily the best steak I've ever had in my life. The steak menu is alacarte (like Ruth Chris steakhouse), which can be a bit pricy but in my opinion, totally worth it. The setting is below the original cowboy bar, so it is private and quiet. I highly recommend!
As a long time local I haven't dined here in years. After learning one of my favorite chef's in town took over and made some changes to the menu we wanted to see what was new and give it another try. We finally made it in and our only regret is we waited too long to do so! I loved how the classic western steakhouse vibe remained and was combined with chef Paulie's to die for signature styles. The prices were comparable to similar restaurants in town but with twice the serving sizes. We started with the bone marrow fondue that our large group devoured as well as the shrimp cocktail & crab dish. With a large group of 8 it was the perfect setting and great to try many different items on the menu. Our four year old loved the Mac and Cheese and if you bring children they do have a non printed kid's menu available. All of our steaks were cooked to temperature and melt in your mouth delicious. Personally, the smoked Gouda Au Gratin potatoes are reason enough alone to go back. Happiest taste buds on earth. I highly suggest dining here! Perfect for families, parties, or a romantic meal for the foodie couple. We will definitely be back!!
The elk steak was tough and full of grizzl and was cooked poorly. They need to get better cut of meat and a chef that knows how to prepare it. The service was poor at best. Took over an hour before the main course came and you have to pay extra for the sides as well. If you want to waste time and money this the place to go.
