I realize that things change... We first came to Bubba's 20 years ago and their breakfast was big & good food at a reasonable price i.e. a value. I still have the souvenir hat that I bought at the time and couldn't bear to part with it through the years because of the fond memories... Upon today's visit, my main irritation is that they surcharge you for things commonly included in breakfast combos. For example, you cannot get the common breakfast combo of eggs, hash browns and a meat (bacon, sausage or ham) without getting surcharged for the meat. Bad form, Bubba!
The good was great. Extremely large portions and the best salad bar I've seen in a long time. Prices are resonable and the servers are friendly and helpful. Brenda was excellent with her tips for getting around town. Definitely make a stop here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Had scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon. Part of the eggs were a little off color greyesh. They tasted fine so I ate them. After the fact I realized I should have rejected them. They made me sick for a day and a half. I have eaten there other times and been completely satisfied on those visits. My previous rating was five. I have dropped it to one after this meal.
Overall, their breakfast quality is 5 star, but their lack of value drops them to 4 stars.
Really fast, great staff, awesome food, (try the brisket!) fun and friendly atmosphere. I am thoroughly impressed. Also, there is Active Duty and Veteran Reserved parking right up front. These guys are just.... Eat here, I promise you'll love it.
This place was delicious! Haven't loved a barbecue place this much before. Good service good smoked meat and delicious sides. Their apple crumb pie was also very tasty for dessert.
That being said, the pancakes are as good (thick yet fluffy) as I remember, the biscuits as are still as big (yet not too heavy) and you must be a power-eater if you can eat two of either of them. Their sausage gravy is very good and included enough sausage that I didn't feel the need to pay the surcharge for additional meat. My wife got the Denver Omelette and she said it was perfect, with the green peppers not being overcooked. My pancake-loving son loved their pancakes and my daughter agreed that their hash browns were the perfect balance of good textures with a crispy top.
