My name is Janelle. Dr. Finkelstein missed my cancer. The only bright part of my visit with Dr. Finkelstein was her staff was pleasant. I went to her office in tears 1.5 years ago. I had been excruciating bladder pain for over a month. I was down 20 pounds and I could not sleep through the pain. She did run some tests. I was put on a treatment plan, of bladder installations to treat Interstitial cystitis. These did virtually nothing. She treated me as if I was a drug seeker after I asked if pain pills would help. After that question she was very dismissive and urged me to "seek out alternative forms of pain management" (which I did to no avail). Long story short I was diagnosed with cervical CANCER 9 months later. After being successfully treated at the Huntsman's and now that the dust is settling for me and my young family. I have been reflecting on how things could've been so much different if she would've treated me as a whole person and not just the next patient. As a sidenote about excruciating pain.... it is now gone. No thanks to Dr. Finkelstein.
She was amazing. Bright and thorough, removed my kidney stone and helped me finish my vacation on a positive note!
Dismissive, over-bearing and somewhat boorish. Waved off my explanations without any concerns of what my explanations or questions meant to me. Definitely a "her way or the highway" type of doctor.
