Almost like a Wyoming-themed Ruby Tuesday's. Try the bison burger!
Waiting . . . Waiting . . . The "saloon" was all that was open for lunch. They had a nice menu of the usual bar food (burgers, tacos, fries), and . . . one . . . vegetarian thing, a mezze plate. Everybody in our bunch ordered burgers and tacos, but I'd o.d.'d on that the night before (see McPhails) so ordered the mezze.
It's pretty simple, really, If you're going to do something, do it good. I would have preferred the Mangy Moose didn't do this at all. Oh yeah, they charged me for the soup, too. This wasn't self-serve, you know.
Cool little restaurant/pub. Food was pretty good with a log cabin atmosphere.
After everyone had been served, except me, when I reminded our waitress of my hunger, she informed me that my lunch "came from another kitchen," and would be here shortly. After, longly, I asked for maybe a bowl of soup, so we could all get back to skiing (when a ticket is $130/day, we like to ski), it was further explained to me that "the mezze plate comes from another kitchen," and that it would be here soon. Wow, it's just hummus, pita, and peppers, not like they had to butcher a hog. She brought my food, eventually, and then the soup, I suppose to rub it in.
Breathing views of the Grand Tetons from Jackson Hole Wyoming while you dine on the outside dining patio with live music. Choose between the Buffalo Meatloaf or roasted acorn and corn dinner. There is a relaxing saloon with a full liquor bar, extensive wine and beer list.
Great place to get quick easy food when on be mountain. Burgers and hot dogs are so tasty and bar staff were really friendly and helpful!
